CERAFILTEC appoints new CEO to accelerate global growth

Circularity Capital portfolio company CERAFILTEC, a leading designer and manufacturer of ceramic ultrafiltration membrane solutions for the global water industry, has appointed Dr Torsten Wintergerste as CEO, effective 1 July 2024.

 

Dr Wintergerste joins the business from Sulzer Chemtech AG, a world leader in separation and mixing technologies for exploration, refinery, petrochemical and chemical plants. As president, Dr Wintergerste doubled the organisation’s revenue to €900 million and grew profitability to a double-digit percentage.

 

His extensive experience, international expertise and strong relationships with global industry leaders will help to accelerate CERAFILTEC’s mission to deliver clean water across the globe.

Commenting on his appointment, Dr Wintergerste said: "CERAFILTEC's journey from a pioneering start-up to a transformative key player in water filtration has been inspiring and was a key factor in my decision to join the company.
