Hugo Boss appoints TrusTrace to support supply chain traceability
Circularity portfolio company TrusTrace, a global SaaS company with a market-leading platform for product traceability and supply chain compliance in fashion and retail, partnered with Hugo Boss to support complete upstream traceability of the brand’s catalogue, from raw materials through to finished products.
The fashion powerhouse, which in 2023 generated €4.2 billion in global sales, operates a traceability initiative to provide its customers with the ability to track the journey of a product through every stage of the supply chain. Since partnering with TrusTrace last year, Hugo Boss has onboarded suppliers to its traceability platform, representing 80% of its total production volume and with a target of 99% supply chain traceability by 2025.
Shameek Ghosh, CEO of TrusTrace, commented: “We’re honoured to partner with such a visionary brand on this journey towards greater transparency. This recognition is a testament to the value we bring as a company and reinforces our position as a leader in driving innovation and sustainability in supply chains. The acknowledgment from such a prestigious brand as Hugo Boss highlights the importance of our work and its potential to shape the future of responsible business practices.
“This is what the future of responsible fashion looks like — leveraging innovation to empower businesses and consumers to understand the story behind every product.”
Ian Nolan, partner at Circularity Capital, added: “The transition towards a more sustainable and equitable fashion industry is only made possible by utilising the most innovative and cutting-edge digital solutions. Since investing in TrusTrace in 2023, we have helped the company to strengthen its presence in key markets, deepen its product innovation and expand collaborations with leading fashion brands like Hugo Boss to become a market leader in supply chain traceability and transparency. We’re proud to be supporting the team as they continue expanding their platform and services worldwide.”
