Circularity portfolio company receives national accolade
Peter and Steven Easton, co-founders of Circularity Capital portfolio company Green Home Systems, have been jointly named in LDC’s Top 50 Most Ambitious Business Leaders list for 2024.
Organised in partnership with The Times, the initiative aims to celebrate the UK’s most successful entrepreneurs – showcasing their ambition, their impact and the continued commercial success of their ventures. Now in its seventh year, the list is considered a highly prestigious accolade for UK entrepreneurs and a real statement for their scale-ups.
Renowned for founding and scaling Green Home Systems, a market leader in the installation of energy efficiency measures for domestic properties in fuel poverty, the judges were impressed by the brothers’ drive, determination, ambition and scale-up success.
Chosen from a shortlist of 700 candidates, Peter and Steven were deemed to have demonstrated a significant impact on the UK economy. As well as creating jobs, promoting social equality and championing sustainability, they were rewarded for integrating purpose into their practice.
Founded in 2014 with the purpose of retrofitting buildings with energy-efficient LED lightbulbs, Green Home Systems has quickly developed into a major player in the energy savings space. Working towards a corporate goal of eradicating fuel poverty across Scotland, the business has completed more than 16,500 projects to date, abating more than 500,000 tonnes of CO2e and lifting 7,000 families out of fuel poverty.
David Mowat, partner at Circularity Capital, said: “Green Home Systems plays a critical role in the delivery of long-term carbon emission reductions and tackling fuel poverty. The business is innovative, agile and dynamic – key to its ability to boost resource productivity. We’re delighted that Peter and Steven have made the LDC Top 50, it’s a real testament to their passion, dedication and continued success.
