ZigZag Global triumphs at 2020 eCommerce Awards
Circularity Capital-backed ZigZag Global, the SaaS retail returns management specialist, has taken home gold in the Best Technology Innovation and Best Product categories at this year’s eCommerce Awards. The prestigious ceremony, which celebrates the very best innovations, products and campaigns the ecommerce industry has to offer, took place virtually on 30th September 2020.
With eCommerce sales soaring during the COVID-19 pandemic, ZigZag Global’s pioneering technology is helping retailers to manage, track and quickly resell returned stock. By identifying the most efficient return route, ZigZag’s technology speeds up the transit of goods from customer to retailer – saving money, saving time and helping to get stock back on the shelves faster than ever.
The judges were impressed with the platform’s ‘dynamic exchanges’ functionality, which saves sales previously lost in the returns process and dramatically improves the customer’s online experience. The service also eliminates the need for a paper label to be included alongside deliveries.
Al Gerrie, Co-founder and CEO of ZigZag Global, commented: “While the retail industry has experienced a challenging six months, we’ve been able to provide a pioneering solution to help brands across the globe manage, track and resell their stock. Our platform is helping to make a measurable difference in a hugely uncertain time.
“Being recognised by our industry peers is humbling indeed – especially considering this is the second consecutive year that we’ve taken home an eCommerce Expo Award, and the fifth year running we have won an award for innovation.”
Ian Nolan, Partner at Circularity Capital, added: “With ecommerce return rates hitting as high as 50% and an enormous volume of goods going to landfill, ZigZag Global helps retailers to intelligently route goods to where they have the greatest likelihood of resale. This gets products back on the shelves more quickly and helps retailers to reduce their environmental footprint.
“ZigZag fits perfectly into our portfolio of high-growth innovative businesses enabling a more circular economy and we’re delighted that the company continues to grow, while picking up prestigious awards en route.”
