We're hiring for an Investment Associate

We have an exciting opportunity for an Investment Associate to join our team in Edinburgh and support our work as a specialist investor in the circular economy.

Our client’s mission is to support SME growth and innovation in the circular economy. It seeks to identify SMEs operating in Europe that require £1m - £5m of equity investment. It has an integrated approach to measuring and reporting ESG factors and uses this information to support investee company growth. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Investment Associate to join the current team to assist the partners in the execution of pipeline investment, in the investment management of portfolio companies and in portfolio reporting.

RESPONSIBILTIES:

Support the evaluation and execution of new investment opportunities including the preparation of investment committee papers, the review and assessment of due diligence reports and the review of legal documentation

Support the partners in investment and portfolio management

Assist the partners in the regular portfolio reporting process

Working collaboratively with the wider team to originate investment opportunities across Europe

YOUR PROFILE:

Investment banking or corporate finance experience, working on M&A transactions from a blue-chip institution

You’ll have strong, technical financial modelling skills

Personable and comfortable working as part of a small, dedicated and highly motivated team and a friendly team player, willing to assist in all areas of office life

A demonstrable interest in the circular economy
