I Chair our Investment Committee, and focus on our investment strategy and stock selection, as well as managing a number of our portfolio of investments. Alongside Jamie, I take a lead role in our fundraising activities.

After a long career in private equity at 3i Group plc, which I left as group CIO, my introduction to 'impact investing' came in 2011 when I joined the newly established £3bn UK Green Investment Bank plc as its first employee. I was keen to bring many of the learnings from that experience to Circularity Capital, specifically ensuring that our impact and financial return objectives are both met and not traded off one against the other.

An economist by academic training, I qualified as a Chartered Accountant in London with Arther Andersen before joining 3i Group plc in 1987. My long career at 3i led me to senior roles in its UK and Continental European business and ultimately I became Chief Investment Officer of the group in 2009, responsible for £8bn of AuM across growth, infrastructure, buyout and debt.
